Project Details

In our supply chain optimization project, we thoroughly examined our client's existing supply chain processes, pinpointing inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Our team then crafted tailored solutions to streamline operations and bolster efficiency throughout the supply chain.

OUR ROLE

Our role in this project consisted of 4 parts:

  1. Design
The process started with the full in-house drawings for the project which ensured careful monitoring throughout the design process, as well as certification by experienced civil and structural engineers.
  2. Fabrication
Our fabrication team included skilled craftsmen, managers and supervisors that ensured fabrication of all the materials used for the GRW Project. In total, 25 permanent employees were involved in this process.
  3. Assembly
Led by the CEO assistant with over 32 years of experience, this process involves the assembly of all manufactured parts. Construction managers along with the CEO Assistant ensure full compliance with all safety regulations
  4. Delivery
This part of the process involved the delivery of all materials required for the erection of the warehouse for the GRW Project. Our dedicated certified truck-mounted crane was involved with the handling of heavy loads during the delivery process.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Purpose: The primary goal of the project was to design, manufacture and construct a commercial warehouse that can facilitate the production and storage of tankers, trailers and transportation equipment.

Client Requirements: One of the main requirements for this project was to create a warehouse that spans 40 000 square meters - large enough for manufacturing and storing GRW tankers, trailers and manufacturing equipment. The project was based in Worcester, a town based one hour outside of Cape Town, Western Cape.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Size and Specification: At the time of completion, the warehouse spanned 40 000 square meters, and its main objective was to facilitate the design and storage of transportation equipment. The GRW warehouse holds some of the most advanced technologies for trailer manufacturing.
